                      About Linda
 Q.  When did you first start studying Yoga?
A. About 11 years ago  first with my teacher Morag Wilson and then with Anahata school of Yoga (teacher training).  I graduated  last   year from a 200 hour teacher to a 500 hour registered yoga teacher. I have also had the privildge and delight in completing a Grounding in Vinyasa Flow intensive with Claire Missingham and I now incorporate in my classes some vinysasa flow sequences.
Q. What style of yoga do you teach?
A.  I learned  Classical Hatha postures at the Anahata school of yoga  It draws from some of the  great masters and of course as a teacher my own personal preferances and personality  comes through in my teaching.  My classes include Vinyasa Flow, they respect the  ancient teachings of yoga and make them relevant to today, they are challeging to mind body and soul if you want them to be and are fun.
I have also achieved a  Diploma in Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga (yoga Alliance approved) and have two small classes running at present.
Q. Who/where do you teach?
A.  Community schools  and health clubs.   I have a number of students who prefer to study 121 for different reasons and these are carried out at my home or theirs.
Q. Are your classes gentle or very physical?
A. Both  so if you are looking for something gentler and slower then choose a beginners class.
Always work to your ability and progress at your own pace within the class.
If you are a more practiced student then the intermediate class is for you as it allows you to deepen your practice and flow. You can expect a good  mind and body work   There is generally an intention or for the session and special theme nights on the last Monday of each month.
Q. What's new on your agenda?
Looking to give students new experiences  in their exploration of the self.

            YOUR YOGA QUESTIONS
Q: What is Yoga ?
A:  A journey within exploring an ancient mind body science. Yoga means to yoke to unite and sets out to do this initially with  mind, body and soul and ultimately with the source.  Yoga helps you find  the strength and the awareness to remove the obstacles to your freedom, peace and well being.
Your practice will include :  physical postures , breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation.
There is only one yoga but the roads are  many and this can be interpreted by the various masters and teachers in different ways with an assortment of styles and personalities.
Awakening to conscious, blissful union,  whichever style you choose to practice will be the common objective of all yoga. The best way to understand yoga is to experience it.

Q: Who is yoga suitable for?
A: Everyone can practice Yoga in some form however different styles will suit different people. You should consider if you prefer a dynamic practice, gentle ,restorative or relaxing. Choose a teacher according to these preferences and styles.  Most teachers will encourage you to work within your own ability in a class.

Q: What benefits does yoga bring?
A: The obvious physical benefits are  flexibility, strength , improved posture and breathing. It also  calms the mind and the nervous system, balances the endocrine system, lowers blood pressure, stimulates the internal organs and  iliminates toxins.  On a deeper level it will balance energy and emotions bringing a sense of peace, tranquility and union.
Yoga treats mind body and soul as a whole and it can seriously cause HAPPINESS AND WELL BEING

A: Sometimes students are recovering from injury or need to de-stress others might   have been given a gift voucher, a few  just  enjoy the personal attention or want to improve  alignment, some  need help with personal practice and  many have never experienced   yoga and are nervous about going straight into  a class.   Whatever your reason  Linda can help you with  any of these.......... email to arrange time, day and place and  get started !
